    Description

    This is a used condition WW2 British Royal Artillery Airborne Named Officers Battle Dress Jacket. The BD is a size 13 and is dated 1944. Named to Hardman who was a captain. 3 cloth red pips on each shoulder along with canvas Royal Artillery Titles on each shoulder and canvas pegasus patches. The wings of course are not canvas. No mothing that I can find. The Africa ribbon has 8 on it for eight army beside it is the Italy ribbon. Hard to get original airborne tunics. From my own personal collection. The information on the officer is as follows;
    Capt AL Hardman joined 2nd A/L LAA bty of the 6th Airborne division after getting his commission in April 1943. Trained at Bulford and Ringway. In 44 he landed by glider at Grave near Nijmegan. Returned to Bulford and joined 6th Air Landing Anti Tank Bty. Returned to France in 1945 and took park in the Rhine Crossing on 24th of March and ended up in the Baltic. This is from a letter that was not shown in the pictures but is included with the battle dress. Hard to get a named with information tunic to the airborne never mind somebody who was a Nijmegan
