Vintage composition and cloth doll - "Trudy" - an Elsie Gilbert creation - about 1946 - she is about 15" tall - turn the peg on the top of her head and her face changes from a smile to a sleepy baby or a crying baby - hand painted facial features on all 3 faces - she has a wool hood attached to her neck to conceal the other faces and she has blonde hair attached to the hood - the composition on her head is excellent - no crazing or cracks - her cloth body is in very nice condition - the composition on her arms and legs is cracked and flaking - someone mended it with old tape.
