    Description

    Released in 1969 in the
    UK
as THIS IS TOUCH on Deram, with a fancy center opening cover and a big poster, Touch were one of the few genuinely progressive American bands to gain a major label release. Although part of the Deram family, their American label was Coliseum. This poster is from the American release.
Aside from the obvious Vanilla Fudge and Jefferson Airplane roots, Touch were quite typical of the Deram prog sound, with strong classical elements and a rich palette of instrumental textures. Sometimes very arty and rambling, then occasionally bolstered up by really powerful songs,
    This is Touch
was a pretty interesting album, with many disparate elements and textures woven into it. Original versions of the American release have sold as high as 0.
For sale is the original poster that came with the album, measuring approximately 24x24, or maybe 23 ¾ x 23 ¾. While the poster looks pretty good, it does have some condition issues. There are pinholes in every corner, and at the midpoints of the upper, lower, and side borders (see pics). Probably the most serious issue is an approximately 2 inch tear at the bottom center (see pics). There’s also a smaller, 1 inch tear, in the lower right border, about 3 inches above the bottom right corner (again, see pics). The pinhole in the lower right corner has also extended itself into a tiny tear, about ¼ inch long. There are also a couple of spots where the poster has separated along the original folds, and maybe a small tear or two that I may have missed, but I’ve tried to show everything about the condition in the pictures I posted, so please take a look. The poster you see is the poster you’ll get. It will be shipped folded as it originally came, to the size of a 12 inch vinyl album.
