Vintage Acme Toy Co Doll, Composition Head & Hands Straw Stuffed Cloth Body.
Doll has painted blue fixed eyes, nicely painted on eyebrows and lashes.It also has painted molded hair.
Doll measures approx. 24" x 8 1/2".
Used antique condition with some discoloring or yellowing of the cloth.
The finish on the composition top of the head is breaking down, cracking and peeling from age I guess.It could be repaired and restored.
The voice box no longer works.
It looks like it may have had a repair with white cloth at the top of one leg where it attaches to the body.Please see photos.
The sleeper and bonnet could use a washing but the material is very fragile and it did tear on one foot when I was redressng him.
I believe the doll was made in the 1920s but could not confirm it as I could not find documentation.
I purchased this doll at a charity thrift store about 4 years ago and I did have it in my space at an antiques store for a little while and it has been in my smoke free home the rest of the time.
The doll is wearing the same clothing as when I purchased it.I don't believe the clothing is original to the doll.
On the back of the doll it is embossed "Acme Toy Co".I can't find any other tags or identifying information on the doll or it's clothing. I really don't know that much about dolls as that is not my area of interest. So please ask questions!

The doll will be very carefully pakaged for shipping with lots of bubble wrap.I did have to make a special shopping trip to purchase a shipping
box and shipping materials for this baby. She is delicate and I will not squish her into a box that is too small.She is laid out flat in a 24 inch length box and not folded in half.
