Vint 18" unmkd. composition doll - boy or girl - painted features- vintage dress

Description

Vintage early composition 18" unmarked doll with painted facial features - blue eyes, red closed lips, blushed cheeks, dark brown molded hair, composition arms & legs.
The face has some flat light crazing, a bit of paint missing on the eyes, a very small surface compo rub on the tip of the nose. The hair area has raised compo surface cracks  on both sides and on the top. Front top of hair and to just behind the ears is good. The arms & legs have no crazing, and have dull coloring. The hard stuffed cloth body has some age related soiling and two small areas that need some hand stitching. Baby wears original gauzy cotton panties, an infant size vintage handmade dress with pin tucks & pink flower trim (Philippines made) in very good condition with a matching slip (one button missing on slip strap, and has a few tiny tan spots near the bottom). The bonnet is hand crocheted pale beige cotton yarn and is lovely. The composition should have a light cleaning and the clothing needs washed,  dull from being packed away for many years. This could be a lovely baby doll with very little work, can be dressed as a boy or girl. A wig would take care of the damage in the hair area.
