I personally took this photo!! It features the Fembots, along with actress
Jennifer Darling, in Showgirl costumes
! Now, it Is a bit grainy, as I was not
able
to use the flash during the shoot, and it Is over 40 year
-old film!!
But, still--How Cool!?
(It has been written that Jennifer Darling said that she Never Wore
the Showgirl costume in this episode...but I Have The Proof!)
AND...
I have Stories to Tell!
During the shoot, there was a Fire on the
Second Floor of the Dunes,
which did Not stop any of the gamblers in the casino!
I ran up to see if I could help put it out, but
the smoke was too thick...I let the Professionals handle it!
Also...during one stunt, where 'Jamie'
jumps down from a balcony onto a table...
the po
or stunt woman
was seriously injured--she broke both of her ankles.
Sure...they replaced the table top with
bals
a wood,
but they left the Ste
el Pipe and Base, which she landed squa
r
ely on! Ouch!
This e
pisode was filmed in
June/July 1977...parts of it on the roo
f of the hotel/casino. It was
113 degrees that day!!!
I was not needed on the roof...thank you, and was sitting quietly
i
n
one of the air-conditioned hotel hallways, where we had set up the next scene...
which they Never Shot!
Lastly...we had borrowed some pay phones (remember them!?) from the Las Vegas Phone Company, because they were completely different
-looking from wh
at we had in CA.

fter using them in a shot, it was Too Late to return them to the c
losed office,
so I had to bring them back with me to Universal
Studios... and the Next Day, I had a Studio driver take me Back to Vegas to r
eturn them! Up there, lunch and back...took all day--on the clock! I sure Miss those Nice and Well
