Rare set of antique composition dolls--Siamese Twin-style, meant to be "topsy-turvy" dolls and they are twins
Total length measurement is approx. 12" and they come with what looks like their original dress--it is more of a day/play dress on one side and a lacey-type on the other
Both the dolls are sleepy-eye types (they are pretty much identical) with unusual heads in that they have a "pate"-type top; neither doll has any hair left and they both show the typical age wear of old composition dolls: chipping, peeling and cracks and splits--one has a fairly wide split at the neck--see photos for all of this--but the fingers look pretty good still and the eyes are a little sluggish but still open and close
The dress, though basically intact, also shows age wear in the form of tears and spots/stains
But, these are cute baby dolls just the same; I have seen a lot of topsy-turvy dolls but never identical twins and usually the ones I have seen were all cloth; these would be fun dolls to restore or just display as they are for their antique charm; they would make awesome "Creepy Doll" display pieces as well--
