    Description

Original Leica Leitz company stock certificate 1996 DM5
Original stock certificate issued in Solms, September 1996 and marked as “Leica Camera Aktiengesellschaft” (Leica Camera Joint-Stock Company).
Marked value as one share of stock over DM 5, serial # 05407. Pictures of the Ur Leica along with the first photo taken with it in 1913, and a standing portrait of Oskar Barnack are in the background of the certificate. A rangefinder outline and lens profile are overprinted with silver ink. The word “Leica” in script is embossed onto the white circle on the lower left of the certificate.
A very interesting piece of collectible memorabilia for Leica Leitz fans.
Certificate measures 21.2cm x 29.8cm (8 3/8” x 11 ¾”). It is made of paper and is in excellent condition with a little corner wear on the upper corners and a few small blemishes (indents) just to the left of the large “L” in Leica printed on the background.
The photos show the actual item up for auction. Please check the high-resolution photo for cosmetic condition.
