Minty 5" Ann Composition Storybook Type of Doll in Pink Box 1940s-on

Description

This lovely 5" composition doll with jointed arms is marked "Ann" on her back. She may have been manufactured by the Princess Ann Company circa the 1940's-on or thereabouts. She is UN-played with and lovely with bright facial coloring, a full wavy mohair wig, and a clean turquoise nylon gown detailed with yellow accents. Her left shoe's painting sustains a paint slip. Ann comes in her box, as found, which may not be original to her. She remains in clean and crispy condition with only a tiny hole to the front of her gown. Ann is reminiscent of the Nancy Ann storybook Dolls and may have been a competitor. Her composition sustains overall light crazing from age and storage. She is a bright vintage composition cutie!
