A cork or bottle stopper having a colorful mechanical wood carving on top. The stopper, which has cork material on the bottom to serve as a stopper, is topped with a beautifully colored figure of a man and woman next to each other. The man is wearing a dark jacket, a tie and a greenish hat. The woman is wearing a red top and a bonnet on her head. The piece is equipped with a lever on the back. When you push down on the lever the couple's necks extend upwards and their heads turn towards each other and they kiss. This is a beautiful mechanical bottle stopper hand carved of wood and hand painted. The well done carving is very colorful and shows quite a bit of detail. It shows the couple's blue eye color, other facial details and clothing details very well. The piece has white, flesh tone, red, blue, and green colors and is very well made, It is very reminiscent of Italian Anri type bottle stoppers and pourers except it is not signed as such. Just a great piece to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

The piece is ~4 3/4" long with cork being 1 1/2" long and ~5/8" in diameter at the base. The piece weighs a bit over one ounce.

Condition:
The piece is in very good condition with minimal wear to the finish. The lever works very well and you can make the couple kiss. The piece has some minor scratches, one or two small dings to the surface of the wood and general light soiling. It has some minor losses to the coloring mostly on the man's jacket at the bottom of the V, which can be seen in the photos. This however does not distract from the quality or beauty of the piece.
