Composition Bride Doll Late 1940. This vintage doll was standing under a Christmas tree one year and I will always remember the moment I saw her. I thought she was the most beautiful doll I had ever seen with her train and veil flowing behind her. The satin dress was made by my mother. She also strung three strands of white seed beads making them look like strands of pearls. Her bouquet is not the original flowers but under the roses is the base of the original bouquet made of lace. The ribbons with “love knots” are the original. The veil is not the original but added years later. I believe she told me it was a doll she had purchased through the Sears Catalog. Her blue eyes are painted on. I can begin to see some crazing on the doll. Arms and legs are moveable. Legs feel a little loose. Part of her little finger on her right hand is missing. She has blond hair with beautiful curls still in place. This doll was not played with but kept on a dresser and then loving put away. Shoes were the original that came with the doll. She also has a matching pair of satin panties. She is 15 inches tall. Please see the photos as a part of the description.
