    Preferred stock
    (£10 or .70 per share). Hand signed by company vice president and assistant secretary. Certificate is about 8.5” x 13”. Black print with orange overprint/underprint.

    The City of Chicago Brewing and Malting Company, an English syndicate, was formed in 1892 to operate a brewery, and in the same year, organized an auxiliary company, known as The City of Chicago Investment Company, for the purpose of purchasing desirable saloon properties in Chicago.
