This is a genuine 100% REAL Kentucky Straight Bourbon Barrel Stave from a "certain” distillery reclaimed from a complete barrel I disassembled myself. Quite a bit of work is put into these display's to make it ready to display your Blanton’s (or any) bottle stoppers with a 15/16” diameter cork. The loose dirty char has been knocked off leaving a clean char surface, stave sides and exterior have been sanded to accent the soak line, miscellaneous dirt debris have been removed, fully coated in crystal clear acrylic satin finish, precision machined stopper bores, and four delicate secure rubber feet attached to provide great scratch free grip on your surface. This work makes for a GREAT display for your stopper collection !
You get an added bonus with every stave. I provide a personally authored high-quality pamphlet that details and educates the reader on the features that can be seen on their barrel wood. Many people dismiss it as a simple "piece of wood”, but this will educate you on the construction and features of a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Barrel to match your stave. I want the recipients of these pieces to know about what they are buying so they can share the conversation about the display with others. It details barrel construction, components, charring, aging, soak line, dumping, and more !
You may see other staves or displays offered online. These are better quality at a lower price. You may also see staves from other sellers with a flat bottom or a single puck base. I have a long history of making these and can assure you with quantity I’ve sold, you will not be disappointed. Using the 4 feet provide the best support and protection and way I prepare these is second to none. Others include a bag of wood shavings – why? It’s saw dust. The small of all the wood goes away when is coated or exposed to air. Others don’t clear the wood for an "authentic experience", have you ever handled the wood char? It’s a dirty and messy. The clear coat preserves the char and soak line appearance.
Please note these are wood products and as such no two are alike but all have charred surface, and visible soak lines.  As noted earlier the dimensions will vary but be in line with the measurements above.  All have aged bourbon 4-8+ years.
