  • Condition: Hair appears to have been glued on at some point, as there seems to be residue on her head. Braids are not attached and do not cover her entire head. Hair needs restyled. Face paint has some knicks and could use retouched. Same goes for her arms, body, legs and shoes. Dress is very old and seems to be falling apart. Needs resewn or restored. Her entire body will have to be re-strung, as the bands used to hold her head, arms, and legs on has gotten old and fallen apart. Her head, arms, and legs are just stuck in place, but are NOT attached to her body. She WILL need to be re-strung.

    Description

    We're helping our 90-year old grandmother clear out the storage unit she's had for the last 20+ years.  She's collected dolls her whole life and she's slowly deciding to part with them. If you're a doll enthusiast, please bookmark our store and keep checking back as we will continue to list them for sale as she decides to get rid of them.
    This is an Antique 14" inches long, Composition Doll with a Latin/Mexican Folk Style Silk Dress and Black, Braided Hair.  She is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous with red lips and blue eyes and super long eyelashes, all painted on.  She has painted socks and blue Mary Jane shoes.  She will have movable joints once she has been re-strung.  Hair appears to have been glued on at some point, as there seems to be residue on her head.  Braids are not attached and do not cover her entire head.  Hair needs restyled.  Face paint has some knicks and could use retouched.  Same goes for her arms, body, legs and shoes.  Her entire body will have to be re-strung, as the bands used to hold her head, arms, and legs on have gotten old and have fallen apart.

    Her dress is beautiful, but needs some help.  It seems very old and seems to be falling apart.  I believe the dress or top and skirt (I'm not sure which) is silk, or some type of blend.  It is being closed in the back with a safety pin.  The whole dress needs resewn or restored.  I couldn't really begin to guess how old this doll may be.  Maybe close to 100 years old?   I really have no idea.
