1971 Illinois Land of Lincoln Passenger Car License Plate

The CHP Museum was founded to share with visitors the rich past of the California Highway Patrol.
We strive to honor the more than 200 officers who have given their lives in service to the people of California.
Those involved in the museum consist of former CHP officers and community members who donate their time.  Items offered are duplicates in the collection or not related to our mission.
We receive no taxpayer dollars and depend on your donations to continue our mission to preserve the past and protect the future.

This auction is for a vintage Illinois license plate (license plate number 885 339).  There is some wear/rubbing to the black paint around the edges and there is rust forming around the edges and the bolt holes on the back of the plate (please see the pictures for a better idea of condition).  Also, the plate has an odor to it (possibly from the paint).  The plate is warped and does not lie flat.
