1939 Doll Craft Company Katrinka From Holland New York Worlds Fair Doll Rare!

Vintage composition Patsy type doll with mohair wig, painted side-glance eyes, and Dutch costume. Has original wrist tag that identifies her as "Katrinka of Holland. 8 1/4" high. Jointed neck, arms, and legs, with orignal outfit and shoes. Outfit is a little dirty from over the years slightly yellow and has some stains. Doll is in good condition overall, she has very slight wear in one hand, and some of the braid is falling out but both hair bows still there. On chest there is some paint not sure what that is from. Made by the doll craft company of new york and is called a ''1939 new york world's fair doll". she is complete and in very good shape. her clothes are stapled on but can be removed easily to wash if necessary. It is known that the dolls were sold in various 5 and 10 cent stores and such to advertise the fair. There are about 35 known dolls with ethnic costumes paired with their countries. They had a hair net over their face and hair, remnents of that might be there also.
