    Description

This lovely little baby girl has a cloth body with composition head, arms, and legs.  She wears a white linen frock, typical playwear of the era.  I named her Lilly.  She has bright, unusual amber sleep eyes with full lashes.  Her face paint is vibrant, with the sweet and gentle facial expression of a well rested, contented toddler.  She could be the baby sister in an early Our Gang episode.  Her cloth body is clean and odor free.  There are cracks in the composition, typical of a doll this age, mainly over her legs, and some on her arms.  There is almost no crazing.  Her blonde locks are mohair, and rather luxurious for a doll this age.  The wig appears to be original.  Restoration of this little one would be easy if you're so inclined.  However, some like to leave the dolls as they are, feeling that these age related imperfections lend value to these treasures from the past.  I'm sure this adorable baby was some little girl's "look alike" favorite doll, and has attended many a tea party.  She likely remained a keepsake and was passed down as an heirloom until she came my way.  It's now time for someone else to love her, as I am downsizing and need to find new homes for many of my dolls.  I want to be sure they go to people who will cherish them as I have.  She will be packaged carefully and ship fully insured to her new home.  Thanks for stopping by to meet Lilly.  If you're the one to "adopt" her, I'm sure you'll love her the moment you lift her out of the box.  She is a real little charmer.
